Ofer Bar-Yosef

Ofer Bar-Yosef (d.2020) was the George Grant MacCurdy and Janet G. B. MacCurdy Professor Emeritus of Prehistoric Archaeology at Harvard University. Bar-Yosef was a corresponding fellow of the British Academy and a foreign associate of the National Academy of Science in Washington DC. He has written extensively on the origins of modern humans and early farming societies in the ancient Near East.
