The Royal Bath (Heb. Mikveh), before restoration: The rectangular structure immediately inside the foreground wall was a bath tub; it can barely be seen before restoration. The bath was part of a complex which included pools and channels carrying spring water to the site from the distant Judean hills. The water heater is out of sight below floor level, adjacent to the far wall of the bath tub room.
