Avraham Hay

The sun god inscribed on this relief at Yazilikaya wears his traditional costume a close fitting cap with a winged sun disc above; an ankle-length robe and upturned shoes. In his right hand, he holds a long stylized crook (lituus). In the extended hand he holds a hieroglyph which means “sun god.” Balanced on top of this hieroglyph is another hieroglyph which means simply “god.”
