This mosaic floor from the synagogue at Beth Alpha contains many of the same elements as the Nabratein ark: pitched roof, a pair of lions on either side of the ark, a shell motif in the center of the ark pediment, and an eternal lamp hanging from the roof peak.

The mosaic resembles the folk art style of the ark representation on the Nabratein ceramic fragment with which it also has in common horns and chains protruding from the sides of the ark.

The broken area at the upper left marks the position of part of a later bema built over the earliest mosaic floor.
