A first century B.C. round temple. Already 200 years old when Hadrian built his temple in Jerusalem, this structure in the Forum Boarium in Rome is evidence that Hadrian knew round temple structures. Dedicated to Hercules Victor, this temple adds plausibility to Bahat’s suggestion that Hadrian’s Jerusalem temple was also round.
