Archaeological remains from Constantine’s church are identified by Corbo in this photograph. A is a section of the eastern stylobate, or column-bearing wall, of the triportico. The column base seen in the center is column 215 noted on the plan. B designates the western edge of the apse of the basilica church. C and D are later structures; E is identified by Corbo as a second-century Hadrianic wall, cut by the later stylobate.
