A garden of artifacts at the Golan Archaeological Museum in Qatzrin. Although the Golan is a sparsely populated area today, its ancient inhabitants have left a rich archaeological legacy extending back at least 500,000 years. So many ornate architectural fragments have been found, all carved from the hard, black basalt that composes the plateau of which the Golan is a part, that this archaeological garden was established in order to display some of the most exceptional pieces.
