NOT UNIQUE. If Hebrew were a holy language, one would expect it to be unique among the languages of the world, but it is not. It shares many similarities with Moabite and Phoenician. The famous Mesha Stele, or Moabite Stone (shown here), which details the victory of King Mesha over Israel and dates to c. 840 B.C.E., is one of the best examples of ancient Moabite writing.
