WAITING THEIR TURN. The Eurytios Krater depicts dogs beneath the tables of a lavish feast hosted for Hercules by Eurytios, king of Oechalia. The king’s daughter Iole also attends. Dating to c. 600 B.C.E., the krater was found at Cerveteri, located northwest of Rome, and is currently housed at the Louvre.
