IN MEMORY OF AMRAM. Inscription no. 149, on a 1.7-by-2.5-foot stone block fragment, asks those who read the inscription to remember the named individuals favorably before the god of the temple, in this case Yahweh: “[That which] offered Amram son of […] for his [wife] and for his father [and … for] good [remembrance] before the go[d].” Amram’s request for “good remembrance” in the inscription is a counter gift for the offering he gave to the temple.
