God creates the celestial globe, and then sends an angel to kick Adam and Eve out of the Garden in this 1445 painting by the Sienese master Giovanni di Paolo. In the first episode, in Genesis 1, God is called Elohim (in Hebrew); in the second, in Genesis 2, he’s Yahweh Elohim.
